WHO WE ARE
South London Laces is a community football club for women and non-binary players.
Starting life in 2016 as a turn up and play session with 4 people in a sports hall in Battersea, fast forward to 2025 we now have activity taking place 3 days a week, across 3 South London boroughs for 100+ players, coaches and volunteers.
Our club is powered by our people and we pride ourselves on providing a space where anyone can come and play football in a safe and sociable environment. We are non-traditional football club with our activity co-produced with our players and people, and led by the needs of community.
Our off the pitch activity is just as important as our on the pitch activity. On the pitch, we have teams play 11v11 football, participating in leagues across south London, from beginner to more advanced divisions. It is important that our players play in leagues and squads where they can thrive and enjoy the game.

MANIFESTO
THIS IS WHAT A FOOTBALL CLUB LOOKS LIKE.
ALL THE PLAYERS WHO CAN PLAY. WHO WANT TO PLAY. WHO MIGHT PLAY.
THIS ISN'T ABOUT ABILITY, BUT OPPORTUNITY. NO NEED TO TRY OUT. JUST TRY. HERE, WINNING ISN'T MEASURED IN GOALS. IT'S ABOUT FUN. IT'S ABOUT PROGRESS. IT'S ABOUT PEOPLE.
PLAY ONCE A WEEK. ONCE A MONTH. ONCE A YEAR. PLAY WITH YOUR KIDS WATCHING. PLAY BETWEEN SHIFTS. OR BETWEEN JOBS. JUST PLAY.
IF YOU'RE PLAYING, YOU'RE ONE OF US.
OUR CLUB VALUES
WE BRING OUT THE BEST IN EACH OTHER

We are all part of our football community, and we're here to help each other.
WE HAVE EACH OTHERS BACK

We lean on each other like sisters. Whether this is a hug after conceding a goal, or offering support when we see someone struggling. No ask is too big.
WE'RE RADICALLY INCLUSIVE

Everyone comes with their own lived experience. We're all equal and we're all different and we respect everyone for who they are.
WE MAKE GENEROSITY CONTAGIOUS

We freely give each other our time, knowledge and trust in the hope that we are making our community a better place by doing so.
